We are building out our Technology Team and are adding a Director of Manufacturing Technology!

This role will have a “home-base” out of one of our locations:

• Ceco Door in Milan, Tennessee OR Curries in Mason City, Iowa
• New Jersey Executive Office in Bergen County, New Jersey
• Austell, GA / Carol Stream, IL / or Mesquite, TX manufacturing facilities

What would you do as our Director of Manufacturing Technology?

You will lead teams of subject matter experts in the architecture, implementation, configuration, and support of group wide Manufacturing and Execution Systems (MES), and the practical application of Industry 4.0 practices, while effectively prioritizing and delivering on multiple projects simultaneously.

You would also:

• Partner with the organization to maintain an awareness of business conditions, strategies, and practices which may intersect with, or shape the development of manufacturing strategy.
• Act as the trusted advisor on Manufacturing technology, by maintaining a deep understanding of Manufacturing & Execution Systems (MES), relevant Industry 4.0 principles, and the practical application of Industrial IoT, Edge Computing, Cyber Physical Systems and SCADA systems.
• High willingness to challenge accepted manufacturing processes and standards with an interest in innovation and accelerating digital transformation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop a robust manufacturing technology strategy, ensuring alignment of multi-domain stakeholders around a cohesive roadmap.
• Effectively prioritize and deliver on multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to marshal resources to get things done, orchestrate multiple activities at once to accomplish a goal, and use resources effectively and efficiently.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand problems, facilitate discussions, pose solutions, and/or surface alternatives.
• Estimate cost, and prepare business cases for manufacturing technology solutions, considerate of requirements, performance, usability, and business continuity.
• Exceptional negotiation skills with the ability to negotiate win-win solutions at a high level with internal and external customers and partners in a timely and decisive manner.
• Leverage experience with various project management methods, and the ability to analyze data, measure progress, report status, and course-correct project teams as needed.
• Assess and build team technical competencies, leadership bench-strength and overall delivery capabilities within scope of influence in a collaborative high performance work environment.

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or equivalent work experience / Master’s Degree preferred.
• A Minimum of 10 years combined progressive experience with Manufacturing & Execution Systems (MES), Industry 4.0 principles, and the practical application of Industrial IoT, Edge Computing, Cyber Physical Systems and SCADA systems, including architecture, design, configuration, and support.
• A minimum 7 years of progressive experience, leading Information Technology or Engineering teams in a business production environment.
• Strong, functional understanding of Manufacturing Technologies, Manufacturing & Execution Systems (MES), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, and related business processes.
• Possess excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills with the ability to present to all levels of the organization.
• Ability to multi-task and handle tasks or projects with competing priorities

• Strategic business acumen, with experience assessing a broad range of processes to identify and deliver solutions, considerate of performance, stability, cost, and simplicity.
• Exhibits a high degree of technical credibility and communicates highly technical information in a simplistic and easily understandable way.
• Ability to travel, as needed.
