Job Title: Director of Marketing and Communications

Department: Marketing

Reports to: President & CEO

Status: Exempt, Full-Time

Job Location: Stuart, FL | onsite

SUMMARY:

The United Way of Martin County is seeking a high-energy professional to oversee all aspects of marketing and communications. The position reports directly to the President and is responsible for effective internal and external communications and the promotion of programs, projects and initiatives designed to encourage philanthropy, community impact and volunteerism.
RESPONSIBILITIES:Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing and public relations campaign that articulates and conveys the desired messages to the appropriate audiences. Lead the design and production of all marketing, public relations and print materials, communication tools, email newsletters, press releases, and the annual report for the United Way campaign, its Foundation, and its programs and initiatives.Establish and maintain strong, beneficial relationships with local media.Lead the design and production of the annual campaign materials, including brochures, videos, pledge forms, posters, workplace toolkit and annual appeal.Be the lead photographer, maintain a photo bank.Develop and maintain online fundraising materials to support United Way of Martin County’s website. Maintain the United Way of Martin County website, texting platform, and post updates on social media. Design and develop presentations and materials that communicate program and project accomplishments and community impact to appropriate audiences.Develop and maintain cooperative relationships with United Way partner agencies, community partners and other organizations.Be the lead staff person for website and other social media platforms.Assist campaign, community impact, foundation and volunteer programs with event support, including promotion, producing event materials and providing AV technical assistance.Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree required; minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience in marketing, public relations, communications or related field
• Strong oral, written and organizational skills.
• Strong project management skills; ability to shepherd projects from inception to completion.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Proficiency with Canva, Constant Contact, Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign and Content Management Software

SALARY RANGE:

• $55,000 - $65,000 to commensurate with experience.
