Oakland Park Communities is looking to add dedicated, reliable, and compassionate caregivers to our team!

We are currently seeking a Director of Nursing to join our Long-Term Care/Transitional Care team leading clinical operations of a 35-bed skilled nursing and assisted living facility. Our perfect candidate has a passion for helping patients, improving staff performance, and delivering consistent patient care at our facility.

JOB SUMMARY:

To lead the daily coordination of nursing services and oversee all nursing operations of the facility; and to create a collaborative and efficient workplace with attention to quality standards and policies.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Supervise nursing team to deliver quality patient care

· Interview, hire, and train employees and monitor their performance

· Manage nursing staff schedules and workloads

· Monitor and maintain nursing programs and activities in compliance with current policies and regulations

· Use nursing skills and knowledge to advise in all situations

· Complete reporting and auditing requirements in a timely manner

· Set and track departmental goals and objectives

· Provides direct resident care when necessary

· Investigates resident complaints

· Collaborates with physicians

· Oversees department budget

· Maintains stocked inventory of nursing supplies

· Develop, implement, and monitor a Quality Assurance program within nursing department

· Keeps informed of new developments, current practices, and trends in medical science so that changes can be affected when and where applicable

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

· Current MN RN License required

· CPR certification required

· 3 years’ experience working in long-term care setting preferred

· Experience in managing staff, administration, or has been a Director of Nursing in a geriatric setting preferred

· Must be able to work effectively with minimal supervision, have strong communication skills, and ability to lead a group of people in completing tasks

· Ability to handle confidential information discreetly and appropriately

· Ability to develop and implement plans for program/department operations

· Knowledge of current federal and state regulations.

· Ability to provide patient care if needed.

· Knowledge of general nursing theories and practices.

· Knowledge of new developments in the field of geriatric care.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $83,200.00 - $91,000.00 per year
