Position: Director of Operations | Vogue Recovery Centers - Outpatient - Studio City, CA | Full-Time M-F 8am-5pm

The Operations Director is responsible for overall operations at Vogue Recovery Centers - Studio City, CA. The Operations Director reports directly to the Excitive Director and Chief Operating Officer. The Operations Director will monitor recovery technicians and client programs, communicate, and document all occurrences to provide a safe, caring environment in which the clients can recover. This can include counseling, nutrition, rehabilitation, transportation, and educational services. Requires maintaining a positive, productive attitude, even when clients may be argumentative or non-compliant.


Job Duties:
Director of Operations

  • Notify leadership of repairs or safety issues needing attention
  • Writes up all non-compliant staff as needed
  • Oversees transportation needs for all admits and discharges
  • Ensures that all incident reports are written and submitted to appropriate parties (the state, Executive Director, COO, or HR) promptly
  • Cross-trained on all functions of Operations and Clinical Operations in the case of emergency
  • Ensures facilitation of monthly residential and outpatient operational meetings for staff
  • Attends in-service trainings and educational workshops as directed by Vogue Recovery
  • Attends all required staff meetings
  • Knowledge of Drug and Alcohol Dependency, Mental Health, Family Systems, etc
  • Ability to write in clear and concise statements, summarizing client’s feelings, expressions, resistance and response to their treatment plan, goals and objectives
  • Ability to confront behavioral changes, identify a crisis and recognize when additional assistance is necessary
  • Ability to recognize and identify personal issues that have an impact on job performance and interactions with clients
  • Fully understands and maintains policies regarding professional ethics, including appropriate boundaries and client confidentiality
  • Ability to demonstrate respect for cultural and lifestyle diversities of clients and staff
  • Basic knowledge of referrals, both in and out of Vogue Recovery and Aliya Health Group
  • Assists with DHCS/TJC/CARF compliance, as necessary
  • Maintains operations budget for Vogue Recovery Centers - Studio City, CA
  • Analyzes financial information and presents annual budgets to the Leadership Team
  • Forecast future budget needs and review budgets for compliance with legal regulations
  • Responsible for implementing effective budgeting policies and procedures
  • Working knowledge of 12-Step Program
  • Ability to communicate clearly with clients, staff, peers, supervisors and non-Vogue Recovery Centers - Studio City, CA personnel
  • Will communicate with Leadership Team to ensure timely completion of required documentation, etc
  • Shares the role of being “On Call” in regards to client or facility emergency
  • Takes initiative to find qualified staff for open staffing positions
  • Responsible for ensuring new staff members within the department are fully trained to Vogue Recovery Centers - Studio City, CA standards
  • Other duties as assigned

Oversees the following to ensure Completion:

  • Property Searches of clients as required by program standards
  • Oversees inpatient staff conducting intake procedures on new clients including room assignments, etc
  • Assists Operations Managers and ensures that all scheduling runs smoothly including staff coverage
  • Supervise RADT hours for department staff

Operations Director is expected to:

  • Document client intake and treatment progress
  • Identify a crisis
  • Facilitate groups as needed
  • Liaison with and refer to the treatment team, inside and outside agencies
  • Access and report client behavioral changes
  • Identify personal boundaries and be able to work as part of the treatment team
  • Adhere to professional standards
  • Recognize personal biases working within diverse populations

Skills, Knowledge, and Competencies Required:

  • Knowledge of company operations and processes
  • Must be competent and able to plan many different kinds of operational activities
  • Fully understands and maintains policies regarding professional ethics, including appropriate boundaries and patient confidentiality
  • He/She must be an excellent leader who can discover the most efficient ways to provide client care and navigate daily happenings
  • Ability to communicate clearly, with clients, staff, peers, supervisors and non-Vogue Recovery Centers - Studio City, CA resources

Prerequisites: (Following are the qualifications required to perform the essential functions of this position.

  • Educational Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalency
  • At least one year full-time experience in the mental health and substance abuse field
  • At least one year full-time managerial or supervisory experience
  • Valid California Driver’s License and liability insurance if driving a personal vehicle for Vogue Recovery Centers - Studio City, CA business
  • Vision, hearing, manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination must be adequate for performance of job duties. Able to sit at a desk, use keyboard, write and physically perform other job duties Able to move about the facility to observe clients and staff
  • CCAPP or equivalent certification that would allow for supervision of lower certificates

Required Certifications:

  • Class “C” Driver’s License
  • CPR/First Aid certification, obtain upon employment and maintain current thereafter
  • Develop computer skills adequate to perform word processing duties upon employment
  • Background Check Clearance
  • Negative TB Test
  • CCAPP Credential

Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Employees are required to talk or hear while on duty and frequently required to stand and walk. Often, the employee is required to sit and use a computer and/or reach with hands and arms.
