Job description
The Director of Procurement will be responsible for overseeing all procurement activities within Excell Communications. This includes managing the procurement team, developing and implementing procurement strategies, identifying cost savings opportunities, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in procurement, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field
- Extensive demonstrated experience with RFP creation, analysis, evaluation, and distribution is required
- Desire and ability to take full ownership of projects and produce high quality work
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel) is required
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
- Exemplary planning and time management skills, with strong attention to detail
- High-level verbal and written communications skills
- Experience working in a dynamic environment with strong multi-tasking and process structuring abilities
Responsibilities / Job Description:
- RFP (Request for Proposal) determination of needs, writing, evaluation, distribution, reevaluation, and decision-making
- Streamlining of RFP process and procedure
- Supports the business with the expansion and improvement of supply chain strategies and business plans for all projects and services
- Serves as a liaison between vendors and project managers; manages contract negotiations and renewals to maximize company-wide purchasing
- Works with the Leadership team for projects and programs to improve quality control and conduct follow-ups to guarantee the efficiency of purchasing processes; makes applicable recommendations to facilitate and enhance department operations
- Assume the issuance process of Purchasing Orders, applying company policy
- Support and ensures the application of Procurement policies and procedures; evaluate and/or suggest changes to policies and procedures to improve the supply chain process
- Provides training for project managers and their teams on proper purchasing policy and procedures
- Communicates new purchasing changes throughout the projects; establishes effective communication with department heads, staff and outside vendors to safeguard proper company operations
- Manages vendor relationships and trains vendors on work order and billing procedures
