Head of Competitive Product Management
NOTE: The person hired into this position will need to live near Herndon, VA, Peachtree City, GA, or Miami, FL.
Job objectives
Take the lead and grow the business of assigned product lines profitably
Build and develop a strong partnership with assigned OEM's
Lead and develop a high performance team
Primary responsibilities
Responsible for the Profit and Loss of assigned product lines
Responsible for the creation and implementation of the strategic business plan for assigned OEMs
Lead the team to deliver on objectives of assigned product lines or projects
Develop and manage OEM contracts and ensure Satair delivers as promise
Lead business review with OEM Partners
Lead collaboration with the planning team to optimize inventory cost and provide them with necessary market trend intelligence
Lead collaborative efforts with key interface to Supply Chain, Sales team, COD & other relevant departments where necessary
Lead and validate business budgeting and forecasting of assigned product lines
Ensure functional effectiveness in order to meet defined KPIs, which may be revised from time to time
Support and lead OEM Product Management activities and initiatives
Drive and implement the NPLI process for new product lines
Set clear objectives, targets and success criteria for own area in accordance with management and ensure compliance, this includes annual reviews and qualification assessment, skills development; on-board and train newcomers
Update management on business development of product lines and OEM partners
Support corporate initiatives and change management
Manage inventory business cases
Support customer visit and activities that are technical product specific and requires OEM Product Manager's involvement
Support Business Development initiated initiatives
Responsible for product market pricing
Further expand the market position in terms of existing distributor agreements
Support HR activities, such as recruitment and appraisal
Support strategic initiatives
