The Director of Health Services, working directly under the direction of the Executive Director, is responsible for the planning, coordinating, directing and evaluating the various health services functions on a day to day basis. The Director specifically oversees the operation of all the Nursing Services in the Assisted Living facility. This position is part time - 24 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

Evaluates residents ability to live independently and works with the Executive Director and Medical Director in making decision to transfer through continuum.

Ensures the optimum care of Residents at Day Brook Village through careful planning, effective interpersonal relations and communication, ongoing staff development, and training and appropriate guidance and supervision of staff.

Assumes responsibility for compliance of facility operations with federal, state and local rules and regulations; , maintains relationships with those representative of governmental agencies who survey and inspect facility.

Ensures that resident' rights to fair and equitable treatment, self determination, individuality, privacy, property and civil rights, including the right to wage a complaint, are well established and maintained at all times.

Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, related field, or Associates Degree with minimum 10 years experience in management in related field.

Registered Nurses with the State of Massachusetts.

5 to 10 years healthcare experience, with minimum 5 years with geriatric population. Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with a bachelor's degree required. Advanced degree preferred and/or related experience.

Must demonstrate a working knowledge of the following statutory and federal regulations Medicare for Skilled Nursing Facilities, OSHA, Massachusetts Department of Public Health Regulations for long-term Care Facilities
