Job Description
The Director sits on the Risk Management team and is responsible for assessing the physical security risks presented by assets held in the Real Estate Group’s global portfolio. The Risk Management team works across sectors, regions, and functions within Real Estate, and with a wide range of portfolio companies controlled by the Real Estate Group. This job involves both strategic leadership and day‐to‐day guidance based on subject matter expertise and an understanding of business objectives with respect to different assets.
Responsibilities:

Act as global subject matter expert on physical security risks presented in the Real Estate Group’s global portfolio

Develop and perform physical security assessments to identify key risks areas within an investment and across the portfolio; perform on-site assessments as needed

Advise the Risk Management and Portfolio Management teams on physical security risks

Monitor execution of mitigation plans relating to physical security risks

Participate in quarterly risk reporting, by providing input on security assessments, initiatives, incidents and trends

Facilitate real-time reporting of serious incidents; provide support and guidance in response to security incidents

Develop strong relationships with portfolio managers, regional risk resources, other global subject matter experts, and other stakeholders
Essential Skills/Qualifications

10-15 years of experience in security risk assessment in the public and/or private sectors

Specific experience assessing physical security risks and potential mitigants in a variety of real estate sectors ( e.g., offices, malls, multi-family dwellings, and warehouses)

Strong relationships with both local and international law enforcement agencies

Ability to provide practical, business‐oriented guidance in a dynamic, global environment

Highly self‐motivated and proactive; eager to take ownership over work product

Strong communication, writing, and analytical skills; ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner

Ability to work in a decentralized, matrix organization

Willingness to work collaboratively with a number of different stakeholders

Exceptional interpersonal skills; ability to develop relationships at all levels in the organization

Excellent organizational skills and capability to effectively manage priorities while meeting timelines

Salary Range: $150,000 - 200,000
Our compensation structure is comprised of a base salary and a short-term incentive program (cash bonus). Cash compensation tends to vary based on geography to account for local market conditions and is set to be market competitive. Compensation decisions are based on a number of factors including relative experience, overall years of experience, industry experience, education and designations.
