Berlin Patten Ebling, PLLC, an expanding law firm with offices in Sarasota, Lakewood Ranch, Venice, St. Petersburg, Tampa, and Bonita Springs is seeking a full-time Disbursement Specialist for our Sarasota office. Ideal candidate will be high-energy, and exhibit a professional demeanor and appearance with strong communication and organizational skills and a good working knowledge of Microsoft office.

Essential Functions:
Disburse all outgoing Real Estate settlement funds in accordance with Closing Instructions and fully executed Closing Disclosure.
Review all funds for accuracy prior to disbursement including dollar amount, payee information, wire information and payment address.
Confirm all wire instructions verbally
Communicate internally and with independent escrow company to ensure on-time payoffs, follow up on returned checks, follow up on checks on hold, wire status, etc
Communicates internally on resolving disbursement delays
Assist Escrow Accounting with monthly reconciliation exceptions.
Post wires from the banking platform
Receipt of incoming balanced settlement funds, escalating more complicated ones to more senior team members

Job Requirements:
Excellent phone, email, face-to-face and remote communication skills
The ability to multi task and focus as required and to be proactive
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, metrics-driven work environment
Extreme attention to detail and organizational skills, knowledge of title insurance, regulatory guidelines, and legal documents is required
Open minded to process changes, continuous system updates and enhancements
Proven customer service experience
Have a driven, positive attitude and ability to work as a team player
Proficient in using various computer programs
Bonus: Experience using Qualia
Bonus: Real Estate closing disbursements, title and/or escrow experience
