LGC, Biosearch Technologies is looking for an enthusiastic and diligent Distribution Associate to join our shipping and receiving team near Madison, WI. The Distribution Associate will primarily support the assembly, packaging, shipping, and receiving aspects of the company's warehousing activities. As a primary point person, this individual will be responsible for receiving and preparing product for domestic and international shipment in accordance with the organization's ISO 13485 quality systems. This individual may also assist with the labeling of OEM and RUO products.
This role is based out of the company's site in Middleton, WI.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Fill, assemble, and package products under supervisor’s guidance following SOP’s and written instructions that meet company, customer, and regulatory requirements
- Receive, inspect, and process incoming materials following SOP’s and written instructions that meet company, customer, and regulatory requirements
- Print batch history records from quality management software
- Assign lot numbers in Microsoft Access database
- Ensure production supplies and inventory are properly labeled and stored
- Accurately print and apply labels to packaging materials, manually and with automated equipment
- Process domestic and international shipments, following supervisor’s guidance
- Participate in physical inventory activities, such as routine cycle counts, to maintain inventory integrity
- Potential handling of dangerous good items
- Support distribution activities as needed
- Conscientiously learn requirements of the ISO 13485 quality management system and diligently follow the terms of a quality contract, which describes the relevance and importance of the employee’s work to the achievement of Lucigen’s quality objectives
- Other duties as assigned by management
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Working conditions are normal for a light manufacturing and warehousing environment. This role routinely uses standard material handling equipment.
This is a full-time, site-based position expected to work about 40 hours per week. The standard hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. However, the position may require occasional weekend and/or evening work.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma
- 1 or more years’ warehousing experience in a manufacturing, biotech, or medical device organization—or applicable education and experience
- Strong commitment to quality and continuous improvement
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access)
- Must be productive in a team environment and a strong team contributor
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Aptitude to work in a complex and rapidly growing company
- Results-oriented, ensuring targets are met on time and on budget
- Must demonstrate good professional judgment and reliability
- Must be highly accurate and detail-oriented
- Experience working with information technology, including database software and FedEx and UPS shipping systems
- Demonstrated experience with dangerous goods handling preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Physical demands are normal for a light manufacturing and warehousing environment.
Physical requirements include:
- Ability to manually lift up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to sit or stand 6-8 hours per day
- Ability to reliably and accurately repeat manual manipulations such as packaging and labeling in high volumes
- Manual dexterity
