This position is responsible for site leadership at our existing distribution center as part of our Chem Plant, located in Marysville, Ohio. The DC services internal and external customers, ensuring raw materials are always available for production demands, and finished goods are always available for customers. Activities will include oversight of multiple shifts to ensure that staffing, productivity, planning, and shipment execution are executed at the highest operating standards. This position also understands and promotes a safe and compliant warehouse operation and ensures freedom to operate through the enforcement of standard operating procedures, company policy, all legal/regulatory considerations, and company/regional safety and quality protocols.
Detailed Description:

Responsible for site safety, service, and cost performance for 24/7 operation

Understands, follows and enforces all established safety, health, quality GMP and Company policies, procedures and recognized practices

Works closely with customer, schedulers, plant operations and affiliated supply plants to deliver products that meet customer requirements at the lowest cost

Accountable for people development: Develop, manage and mentor a team of high performing supervisors and leads through annual talent reviews, development plans, and leadership pipeline planning

Implements and drives quantitative and qualitative warehouse efficiency improvements. Develops specific performance objectives and performance measures for warehouse operations.

Incorporates continuous improvement opportunities through industry best practices and network benchmarks for best-in-class operational performance.
Specific responsibilities:

Shipping: Oversight on daily/weekly/monthly outbound shipping objectives. Based on forward-looking forecast and historical actuals, determines the overall daily shipping requirements to meet cost and service objectives. Holds site responsible, through routing reporting and monitoring, performance against cost and service metrics. Effective and proactive communication to all stakeholders regarding shipping objective performance.

Receiving: Accountable for inbound receiving requirements and works cross-functionally on schedule smoothness and receiving service level agreements. Ensures safe and efficient product placement in warehouse locations and the completion of system entries to insure inventory accuracy.

Inventory Management: Maintains overall responsibility for inventory management and control, ensuring accuracy. Accountable for inventory accuracy performance through daily cycle count adherence and annual physical inventory activities.. Works to exceed financial and operative inventory metrics. Monitors excess and obsolescence and develops ways to reduce it.

Logistics: Maintains routine meeting cadence and works cross-functionally with our transportation team on scheduling and delivery options to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.

Teamwork: While an individual contributor role, it is a senior position on the team. As such, fostering a high-performance team through engagement, management routine, and transparent team expectations is critical. Ability to quickly build trust, credibility, and the ability to influence are key characteristics.
Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, supply chain management, operations, finance or other related degrees, preferred, or equivalent related experience.

Minimum 5+ years of experience leading people and processes in a distribution/warehouse operation environment.

Strong business acumen, with a solid record of leading change and delivering results.

SAP experience, preferred.

Analytical experience and knowledge of supply chain processes and procedures within a manufacturing CPG company and general knowledge of retail business a plus.

Ability to lead, engage, and develop warehouse leadership to deliver outstanding customer service.

Excellent analytical, interpersonal, communications, organization, consulting, resource management and technology utilization skills.

Exposure to compliance and safety requirements associated with the management of a warehouse operation.
