Description
Develop, update and map the data for the Engineering, and Surveying departments while supporting both internal and external project teams.
Develop and review GIS mapping and data collection tasks.
Perform digital feature extraction from multiple data sources.
Support GIS metadata creation.
Use tools like WebApp Developer to develop applications.
Data analysis within ArcGIS Pro.
Develop and modify ArcGIS maps and tools to improve workflow.
Participate in technical meetings with clients.
Provide specialist knowledge input and keep up to date with the latest developments in particular fields.
Be willing to make the necessary travel to carry out project requirements.
Ensure that all duties are carried out according to the company's Quality Systems Procedures.
Liaise with staff from other business units and groups.
Promote the interests of the company, for example through personal contacts, representation on professional groups, contributions at meetings and the publication of material where opportunities arise.
Qualifications
Certification /Graduation degree in GIS, geography, civil, computer science or closely related natural science field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in GIS based working environment.
Experience working in the ArcGIS desktop environment will be preferred
Experience working in WebApp Developer tool will be preferred.
Basic GIS skills, including data analysis abilities.
Experience with CADD tool like AutoCAD will be preferred.
Strong analytical capability and an interest in electrical power systems will be preferred.
Knowledge of Electrical Power systems and Electrical Distribution systems will be a plus.
Proven verbal and written communication and IT (office packages) skills.
Track record in finding solutions to complex problems within deadlines.
Capable of devising new, more efficient approaches to solving problems and processes.
Able to handle multiple projects simultaneously and to prioritize work.
Flexibility to work in different roles for different clients both locally and worldwide.
Flexibility to travel will be a considerable advantage.
