- Performs courier functions at Maitland and Orlando campuses for PA/PFS as scheduled or requested by Supervisor.
- Receives and sorts incoming mail daily ensuring all correspondence, interoffice or external, is routed appropriately and efficiently. Meets or exceeds Department standard for timeliness and accuracy.
- Reviews and codes correspondence within specified time frame and identifies payor and patient account number to ensure proper identification.
- Prepares batch bills for mailing to Insurance Payors by matching with primary payor EOBs, medical records and other documents required by payor for proper reimbursement. Enters data to track batch bills sent by certified mail.
- Scans documents to appropriate patient account, meeting or exceeding Department standards for productivity and accuracy.
- Ability to use discretion when discussing personnel/patient related issues that are confidential in nature.
- Ability to be responsive to ever-changing matrix of hospital needs and act accordingly.
- Self-motivator, quick thinker.
- High School diploma or GED (Preferred)
