Job Summary:
The DoD/Government Contracts Administrator will be responsible for the support and processing of Purchase Orders and Contract Transactions, Proposals, Sales Representative Agreements, Product Supply Agreements, Non-disclosure Agreements (NDAs), Representations & Certifications (Reps & Certs), Close-Out oversight, etc. within the Defense Technologies business unit.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Review and administer contractual documents for accuracy, performance risk, and conformance with contract terms, conditions, and other provisions including applicable federal regulations and business team objectives prior to signature/acceptance
- Act as focal point for contractual communications and commitments for assigned transaction and agreement responsibilities
- Assure compliance with applicable federal regulations and internal policies and procedures
- Review Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and participate in preparing compliant proposal responses
- Negotiate proposals within business goals and document substance of discussions, agreements and results
- Regularly communicate and document status/progress of pending items
- Generate supporting documents and materials, including Reps & Certs, NDAs, and Loan Agreements and coordinate with Legal as required
Job Qualifications:
- Applicants must be either a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, legal permanent resident, asylee, refugee or must be eligible to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control license from the U.S. Departments of State or Commerce.
- BA/BS strongly preferred with minimum of 5+ years contracting experience
- Experience with CONGA or other similar contract management database systems preferred
- Ability to review and assess terms and conditions for risk and to draft and suggest alternative language to mitigate risk
- Able to think critically, assess risks and options, and drive consistency and risk mitigation
- Ability to interact with internal and external customers on significant matters often requiring the coordination and collaboration of activities across organizational lines
- Clearly and succinctly be able to communicate both verbally and in writing
- Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and goals
- Self-starter, capable of working well independently and remain self-motivated
- Exemplary attention to detail and research skills
