The Dog StopĀ® East End is looking for an enthusiastic front desk coordinator
We require a positive attitude, outgoing personality, dedication to providing an excellent experience for our clientele, and, of course, a love of dogs. This is a full-time position and weekend availability is required. The aim of hiring for this position is to grow candidates who show exemplary performance into an assistant manager role. This will fulfill one of the assistant management positions we have opening up in the next month, so experience working in the dog industry is HIGHLY preferred.

This position has the potential to develop into an assistant manager position.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- First and foremost being the smiling face of the business that greets our clientele
- Developing customer relationships
- Learning how to operate the PetExec database
- Client tours
- Management of client database
- Answering and placing phone calls
- Responding and sending out emails
- Meeting sales goals
- Merchandising products
- Inventory tracking
- Product research
- Laundry duties
- Dish duties
- Clear communication with coworkers
- Contributing to a positive team environment and, of course, cuddling and having fun with dogs!
**Please note that although this is primarily a front desk position, there will be INTERACTION WITH DOGS of all shapes and sizes, and you will sometimes be required to handle them for short periods.**
Prior to being trained upfront, hired candidates will begin with approximately 3-5 training shifts in the back. This will ensure the employee is familiar with all aspects of the facility and how they are run. Employees will still be paid the agreed-upon wage during this period.
Necessary Qualifications:
- 2 years experience in retail or customer service with DIRECT customer interaction
- Willingness to learn
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work as a team but still lead from the front
- Intermediate computer skills
- Flexible schedule and ability to work weekends
- 1 years experience with conflict resolution (client or staff)
- Previous experience working with dogs or animals is preferred but not required.
- Previous experience using client-based systems such as PetExec or Gingr is preferred but not required.
