Position Title: Drain Technician

Reports to: Drain Tech Service Supervisor
Location: Westminster, CO
Wage Range: $20-26/hr + quarterly bonus incentives

Job Summary
Address the clients drain/plumbing concerns by thoroughly inspecting the drain system, providing suggestions and feedback to the client, and expertly clear, clean and/or repair all identified issues. Completes all necessary paperwork as needed.
Essential Job Functions
- User sewer cameras and sewer locators to determine options
- Complete all required documentation on service and may collect, record and deliver fees to office
- Participate in meetings and training as necessary
- Support the total quality effort. Identify and respond to the needs of internal and external clients 100% of the time
- Work within the guidelines of the safety and employee policy
- Responsible for maintaining knowledge of local and national codes and industry standards
- Conduct yourself in a manner that will best represent the company to others
- Start work on time with the required hand tools and personal protective equipment to perform the job safely and productively
- Clean and clear drains suing cable machines, hydro jetters and augers
- Minor plumbing service and repair
- Regular and predictable attendance is expected in order to meet the requirements of this position
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED required
- Must be approved to drive per MTech’s driving standards
- Basic knowledge of all aspects of plumbing systems (willing to train)
- Working knowledge of all relevant national and local codes and company and industry standards (willing to train)
- Must possess and maintain licenses that are required in the jurisdictions that you are working
- Required to enroll in MTech’s accredited apprenticeship program

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:
- Have full range of mobility in upper and lower body.
- Be able to reach overhead.

- Be able to lift, pull and push materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks.
- Be able to lift 75 pounds of weight frequently throughout assigned workday.
- Capable of hearing at a level or correctable to a level where the person is able to receive detailed information through verbal communication. Vision must also be at a level or correctable level where the person has clarity both in short and long distance vision.
