Habitat for Humanity of Collin County is a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing ministry dedicated to eliminating substandard housing and homelessness worldwide and to making adequate, affordable shelter a matter of conscience and action.
We are looking for a dedicated individual to serve as a Driver Assistant - Part-Time at Plano ReStore Under the direction of the ReStore Manager, this position is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the HFH ReStore.

Reports to: Director of ReStore Operations
Summary: Assists in providing donors with courteous, convenient, and prompt donation pick-up. Acts as the Restore’s first live contact with customers and donors.

Ø Personally provides customers and donors with knowledgeable, courteous, and prompt service at all times.
Ø Provides professional service while picking up donated materials
Ø Responsible for placing door hangers on adjacent neighbors while picking up donated merchandise.
Ø Operates forklift as needed.
Ø Moves merchandise from receiving area to the sales floor.
Ø Adheres to all Habitat safety standards.
Ø Coordinates stock with the Assistant Store Manager and/or Manager as needed.
Ø Relays customer concerns (with regard to service, pricing, and/or quality of merchandise) to Store Director or Store Manager in writing.
Ø Maintains an awareness of current advertisements and promotions to effectively serve customers and competitive situations.
Ø May provide inside sales support by handling telephone calls in regard to product inquiries. Responds to customer inquiries at the service desk regarding products and project information.
Ø Assists in annual inventory.
Ø Maintains the neat appearance of the sales floor, including but not limited to sweeping, picking up, and hauling trash.
Ø Maintains the vehicle Maintenance Checklist
Ø Maintains all HFHCC vehicles
Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications:
Ø Have a valid Texas Drivers License
Ø Spanish language skills helpful, but not required.
Ø Must be able to lift up to 35Ibs unassisted and 36lbs and over with assistance, stand, squat, bend, climb ladder, use hand/power tools, and climb in/out of truck.
Ø Ability to work in heat and cold
Ø Good physical stamina
Job Conditions:
Position is full-time (max 40 hours) and works Tuesday through Saturday. Evening and weekend work is required. It is a non-exempt position. Conditions and benefits are contained in the board-approved Employee Policies and Procedures Manual.
