Summary:

Johnstone Supply is looking for a trustworthy, reliable and self-motivated individual with excellent driving skills who is willing to go above and beyond for the company and customer. Johnstone Supply Warehouse Support staff and Drivers are responsible for loading and unloading customer orders into company vehicles, delivering products to customers and ensuring the maintenance, documenting merchandise condition, upkeep and repairs of the company vehicles, stocking, picking and filling orders, and general warehouse duties.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Drives company vehicles and follows designated schedules and deadlines for delivery, shipping and receiving and other related tasks. Ensures that delivery schedules and deadlines are met.
• Responsible for maintaining materials in good order and condition during handling, shipping, receiving and storage.
• Operates hand jack, forklift trucks and other material handling equipment according to safety regulations to pick orders.
• Verifies delivery of correct items with customers and obtains proper signatures.
• Maintains the company vehicles in a clean, neat, and organized condition
• Saturday rotations, depending on the needs of the business.
• Being Bi-Lingual in Spanish is a highly desirable skill for this role.

Education/ Experience:

• Required:

  • High School Diploma / GED required OR equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Clean driving record
  • Will need to provide a copy of MVR
  • Pass a background check

• Preferred:

  • 6 months experience in warehouse operations in a wholesale environment
  • Experience driving a forklift
  • Experience with computer or bar-code driven inventory management systems

Qualifications:

• Valid Driver s License
• Accuracy and strict attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain a positive and friendly demeanor in a stressful and fast paced environment
• 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations/accidents
• Ability to use computer systems and manual procedures for organizing and identifying products and communicating with coworkers.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• OSHA and safety regulations and procedures
• Physically able to perform daily cleaning and upkeep of delivery vehicles

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift, carry, and load up to 75 pounds repeatedly throughout the day; climb and balance on ladders and equipment; walk, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl; and reach, push, pull and manipulate. The employee is also frequently required to lift in excess of 100 pounds with mechanical assistance or the assistance of coworkers. Working days can be from 8-12 hours per day as scheduled.
