Job description

Toddler assistant teachers provide any help needed by lead teachers, usually in a daycare setting. They are responsible for looking after the needs of the children and assisting lead teachers with various tasks. They help guide students throughout the activities and ensure that they are safe at all times. Toddler assistant teachers should be familiar with the basic needs of a child and should be able to care for them. They often assist in feeding the kids, cleaning up after them, and in the conduct of class activities.

TODDLER ASSISTANT TEACHER RESPONSIBILITIES

Work closely with co-teacher to manage and co-teach curriculum to a large group.

Assist in preparation and maintenance of LECDC environment to encourage students to thrive academically, socially, and physically.
Collaborate with parents and other staff members in order to maintain an appropriate learning environment in alignment with LECDC policies.

Help each toddler learn the simple ABC their colors and their own learning ways!
Administer food to children, while keeping track of any allergies within the classroom.

Certify in first aid and CPR and pass child abuse clearances as required by state or federal.
Supervise students in classrooms, halls, and bathrooms and playgrounds
