The Family Cooperative is looking for
Early Childhood Educators interested in becoming part of a collaborative community of educators, learners, and families. Positions begin in
August of 2023 and are
full time (37.5 hours/week) with flexible scheduling options Monday - Friday. The Family Cooperative operates from 7:15 - 4:15, with extended day until 5:30. We care for children ages 8 weeks to 5 years across five classrooms and are located in Watertown, MA.

TFC views the child as a competent, creative thinker who actively engages in the process of making meaning about the world. In our approach we are inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy, engaging in child centered emergent curriculum at all ages.
Ideal Candidates:
- Share our dedication to creating an enriching, respectful, and loving learning community for children, their families, and each other
- EEC certification (or ability to obtain certification)
- Associate’s degree or higher (preferably in Early Childhood Education)
- Experience with, or interest in, a Reggio inspired emergent curriculum
- Dedication to anti-bias teaching practices, the cultivation of the environment as the third teacher, outdoor education, and the creation of inquiry-based documentation in order to further the curriculum for the children and to be shared for reflection with families
- Willingness to participate in a collaborative teaching team to make observations and create learning stories, monthly Journey Book entries, and narrative style reports throughout the year to chronicle the children’s experience and growth
- Motivated by developing deep and meaningful relationships with young children, their families, and colleagues
- A desire for professional growth in a supportive, inspiring teaching community
