Seeking: Echo Tech sonographer to conduct cardiac based scans in independent private clinic setting. MUST BE PROFICIENT IN STRESS ECHOS

Pay: Upwards of $50 per hour/study for tier 1 completely proficient echo vascular technologists. Pay rate is based on ability to conduct echo vascular ultrasounds with little to no guidance.

Location: San Antonio, TX (near airport)

Requirements of the Echo / Vascular Technologist - Cardiology

• Diploma from a Certified School/ (ARDMS or RCIS preferred)
• 3+ years experience as a technologist in a Cardiovascular Lab Completion of a Cardiovascular Tech Program or equivalent experience
• Vascular certified preferred
• Demonstrated current clinical competence, as outlined in the appropriate orientation checklist
• Must be able to deal with stressful situations and able to stand for long periods of time
• Must be able to interact well with patients and peers in a positive manner

Responsibilities of the Echo Vascular Technologist - Cardiology

• Perform all echo and vascular scans Echocardiograms, Stress Echos, Carotid, Leg Venous, Leg Segmental, Arterial Studies.
• Maintains patient and schedule flow, utilize downtime to ensure schedule is maintained.
• Maintains CPR certification and CME's for certificates.
• Completes all appropriate reporting paperwork for physician interpretation.
• Maintains a comprehension of what they are looking at/for as opposed to a tech who may just be looking for measurements.
• Assists in Quality Assessment and Improvement activities.
• Assists in keeping ultrasound equipment and viewing station clean.
• Assures all equipment is functioning properly and report any malfunctions.
• Adheres to and complies with HCA's ethics and compliance policies and procedures in the Code of Conduct.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour
