What is an eComm Biz Dev Specialist?
Our eCommerce channel has enjoyed explosive growth and we need a high performer to complement our core Team of Biz Dev Specialists. You are the tip of the spear, the vanguard, the Specialist on point! The BDS is responsible for growing, optimizing and managing our business with key eCommerce partners, including Lumens, HomeDepot, Wayfair and many others. Through these partners, the eBDS’ primary function is to:
Drive revenue growth.
Exhibit strong leadership skills
Be highly skilled with excel and data/content processes
Work well with the team
Have a strong ownership mindset and above all else, possess the ability to work proactively and independently.
What does the eBDS do?
The eBDS manages our full catalog of products across all the WAC Lightings brands to drive sales through our eCommerce Partners. Specifically, the eBDS will:
· Manage a portfolio and be the primary point of contact for high-profile eCommerce Partners
· Leverage interpersonal skills and communicate proactively and clearly to enhance relationships within the team and eCommerce Partners
· Is accountable, responsive and follows up and meets the needs of our Partners
· Leads all Partner meetings and internally, represents their Accounts interdepartmentally
· Effectively communicates promotional opportunities, tracks participation, measures success while ensuring all product is current and optimally merchandised
· Looks for and promotes new opportunities to increase business
· Product curation and custom content
· White label and/or stocking orders
· Understands and reports on sales, sales trends, issues, and return rates across your portfolio and at the Partner level
· Handles escalations professionally and effectively; provides follow up and coaching to limit recurrences
· Identifies and corrects product errors to limit return rates
· Develop functional experience to backfill operational roles as required
· Works with the Associate Dir of eCommerce to set and execute winning strategies to reach and exceed annual sales targets
· Leverage data and feedback to continuously iterate and improve internal processes
· Take ownership of projects or issues and follow through to completion
· Have a strong understanding of our Brands, product, and technology and consistently deliver on our Brand promise
Requirements:
· 5+ years of professional experience, including leadership/supervisory experience.
· Advanced excel, data normalization, ETL skills required.
· 2+ years of account management or client success experience is preferred.
· eCommerce and product merchandising experience is preferred.
· Has worked directly with Home Depot, Wayfair or Amazon platforms in a merchandising role is a huge plus
· Demonstrated ability to work calmly and effectively in a fast-paced team environment
