Work Schedule
8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.; Monday – Friday with occasional evening and weekend hours required in conjunction with special events.

Primary Purpose of Position
This position provides coordination of educational programs for the campus community related to achieving the sustainability goals of the university. Provides support for academic programs seeking to use the campus as a learning laboratory, for staff seeking to improve their operations, and for student organizations seeking engagement opportunities. Creates and maintains educational materials and certification procedures for programs offered – generating data to measure program reach and effectiveness. Assists in the development of educational programs, events, and services to meet campus needs. Provides oversight of staff and student workers for education and engagement projects.

Minimum Education/Experience
Required Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and one year of experience related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

University Preferred Qualifications:

Contributing: Graduation from a four-year college or university and one year of program associate experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Essential Job Duties
  • Deliver accessible educational programs in-person and online, and for later dissemination on-demand.
  • Support academic programs seeking to use the campus as a learning laboratory and staff units seeking to improve their operations.
  • Create and maintain educational materials and certification procedures for programs offered.
  • Generate data to measure program reach and effectiveness.

Other Work Responsibilities
  • Provide material for reports, presentations, and the program website.
  • Maintain partnerships with campus engagement staff.
  • Oversee the work of others, including student workers hired for assessment programs.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or delegated.

Departmental Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education
  • Understanding of educational methods, tools, and assessment strategies.
  • Proven ability in public speaking and leading group activities.
  • Communicate in the English language (reading, writing, interpretation, and comprehension).
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative problem-solving skills.
  • Work/interact with persons from different backgrounds and cultures.
  • The selected candidate must have the mental and physical capabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.

Necessary Licenses or Certifications
  • The employee may operate assigned vehicles on and/or off campus and must possess, maintain, or obtain a valid driver’s license upon appointment to the position.
