The Clerk's Office Conducts all elections in Utah county pertaining to county, state or national offices. Marriage licenses and passports are processed in the Clerk's Office.

POSITION: Elections Compliance Specialist POSTING #: 6013-0423sr
The Opportunity:
Under general guidance and supervision of the Assistant Director - Elections, ensures compliance with statutes, rules, laws, and regulations governing elections. Oversees security procedures and technical services for administering elections and related software. Incumbents serving in this classification recommend protocols for election security and troubleshoot elections processes and systems.
Starting Pay: $22.25 - $25.58 Hourly
Schedule: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday thru Friday
Job Qualifications:
1. Associate degree from an accredited college or university in business, political science, or a closely related field.
2. Three (3) years of general clerical support work experience, including two (2) years directly related to elections administration.
3. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may also be considered but may not replace the two (2) years of elections experience.

Preferred Candidates will possess some of the below attributes:
1. Preference may be given to applicants with supervisory or lead experience.
2. Preference may be given to applicants who have documented typing speed at or above the rate of forty (40) WPM net.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
1. Selected applicants must complete Olene Walker VOTE certification with two (2) years of hire. County employees reassigned, transferred, or promoted to this classification must obtain certification within two (2) years of reassignment, transfer, or promotion.
