Job Title: Electrical Engineer
New Castle Stainless Plate, LLC
New Castle, IN
Duties and Responsibilities
In this position, you will assist in maintaining and improving plant operations in a friendly and casual environment. The plant has an interesting blend of old and new equipment. Most of the work is in the office, but trips to the project/problem areas are often required. The electrical engineer reports to the engineering and maintenance manager but is generally self-directed. The job typically involves the following:
- Designing, documenting, implementing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and improving electrical distribution systems, control systems, and instrumentation.
- PLC configuration, programming, and troubleshooting. (mostly Allen Bradley)
- Strong computer skills. Some programming in Visual Basic or C++ or other languages for machine automation and operator interfaces. Configuring Windows 10 for office and automation applications. Installing and configuring software as needed. Basic Ethernet networking.
- Training maintenance and production personnel to troubleshoot, repair and operate the equipment.
- General knowledge of drive control, combustion, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with NEC and NFPA rules.
- Supervising in-house mechanics, millwrights, electricians, and outside contractors for troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, repairs, and installations.
- Occasionally working overtime or weekends.
- Occasionally getting on or under the machinery, cranes, or building structures.

Education and Experience:
- BS degree in Electrical Engineering
- Experience is a plus, but a good attitude is more important.
Compensation:
This will be a full-time salaried, exempt position. Compensation to be discussed relative to experience and abilities. This position will be open to the company's profit-sharing and retirement savings programs.
