Electrical/Mechatronics Engineer

- Provide knowledgeable and timely support to our extensive customer base.
- Provide solutions for extremely challenging and complex issues in industry.
- Develop, manufacture, and support custom automated dispensing systems to meet unique customer application requirements.
Job Title: Engineer or Engineering Technician II
Office location in Kennesaw, GA
Office hours are either 7AM to 4PM or 8AM to 5PM EST.
Assignment to: Report directly to Head of R&D
Responsibility: The primary function of this interdisciplinary role is to design and integrate electro-mechanical components, systems and processes that require abstract and critical thinking to meet customer application requirements. Our customers develop the components and systems that change our world; therefore, solutions to our customer applications require creativity, motivation, and team collaboration. Projects may range from having the most stringent design constraints to minimal customer direction and input.
This person shall:
- Conceptualize new methods and designs for cutting edge applications.
- Develop, review and approve mechanical and electrical packages to enable production.
- Openly collaborate with colleagues during the design and drawing development process.
- Pull quotes, reference, and change drawings in direct communication with the machine shops
- Assemble mechanical components and assemblies and control associated documentation.
- Offer technical and on-site installation support to North American customer base
- International travel (Mexico, Canada, Europe)
- Contribute to a dynamic team environment and collaborate with colleagues in all departments.
Technical Requirements:
Mechanical
- SolidWorks CAD Experience
- Proficient with GD&T
- Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
Electrical
- Experience reading and creating electrical schematics
- Experience with PLC programming, Allen Bradley preferred
- Experience wiring electrical assemblies.
- Experience with robotics (6-axis, Scara, Gantries, etc) is preferred but not necessary
Personality:
- Open, confident, and strong verbal and written communication skills. You need to be able to speak plainly and concisely.
- Able to adapt and react quickly to changing requirements.
- Able to maintain a professional, collected demeanor in time critical and sometimes stressful situations.
- Have a driven self-starter personality.
A strong plus but not a firm requirement:
- Experience working in a dynamic R&D environment
- Experience working in a production environment
- Experience developing and maintaining processes
- Strong technical writing skills
- Spanish and/or German language proficiency
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $86,542.61 per year
