Summary:

RES, Inc., the Big Island’s oldest and most trusted solar electrical system integrator, is looking for an Electrician to help us support the growing demand for off-grid and grid-connected solar energy systems. The Electrician will be responsible for applying his or her electrical skill to understand and install solar energy technology and meet the high bar for quality workmanship that our customers have grown to expect from our company.

Responsibilities:

• Electrical installations, system troubleshooting, and maintenance with residential and commercial, solar projects under the direction of a Journeyman electrician

• Running conduit and wire, working with high voltage DC and AC, wiring batteries, wiring inverter

• Perform work in accordance with applicable industry standards

• Apply knowledge of electrical theory, practices, instruments, tools, equipment, and materials in order to install, maintain and repair electrical systems and equipment for PV systems

• Read and interpret electrical plans, diagrams and specifications

• Understand an assigned project scope and identify its required steps, equipment, and tools necessary for completion

• Show up to job sites on time prepared to work with all the necessary tools, equipment, and knowledge to complete a project proficiently

• Adhere to workplace safety procedures

• Make daily reports to supervisor and administrative team on project

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years in electrician position
• Must have electrical experience and be aspiring to obtain a Journeyman license or already have

• High school diploma or equivalent; must be 18 years of age

• Possess a current driver license and reliable transportation

• Ability to climb ladders, work at various heights, lift heavy objects and stand for long periods of time

• Position may involve crawling, stooping, bending in confined spaces which may include dust and heat

Terms:

• This is a full-time position based out of our office in Honokaa, HI

• Qualified candidates are expected to provide their own reliable transportation and tools

• Starting pay is $25 - $50/hour commensurate with experience and skill
