Summary of Duties:

Independently functions as a fully qualified electrician to perform skilled installation, maintenance, and repair work on low voltage electrical equipment and systems. Duties include, but are not limited to, altering, maintaining, repairing or installing wiring, cables, switches, controls, fuse boxes, breaker panels, instrument panels, distribution panes, buzzer and bell circuits, power circuits and communications circuits; installing data systems in residence halls; performing routine and emergency maintenance and repairs to facilities, equipment, and plant systems in residential apartments, residence halls, and dining centers; coordinating and working with other trades and crafts in the installation and/or assembly of new equipment and systems in support of new or remodel construction; may lead apprentices or helpers. Operate motor vehicles as required. Position requires a current Washington State EL-01 Electrical License/Certificate.

Required Qualifications:
  • Completion of a recognized apprenticeship as an electrician; or full journey status as an electrician in a union; or four years' applicable work experience. Vocational training may be substituted for work experience on a year-for-year basis.
  • Must have, or be able to obtain by time of hire, a valid driver's license.
  • Current Washington State EL-01 License/Certificate.

Monthly Salary:

Range 50G, $4,777.00 - $5,535.00 (Steps G - M) | Successful candidates typically begin at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28 OR applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement.
