POSITION DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking a Electronmechanical Technologist

On any given day, you may be called on to:

• Participate as a part of a functional team to operate a variety of electrical and mechanical systems that facilitate daily accelerator operations at the AGT Facilities
• Be assigned to work in various areas/sections of all three accelerators operated by the department.
• Train others to operate and maintain accelerator systems.
• Once you become a qualified operator on any one system, you will share responsibilities for operating, maintaining, and improving systems for which they are qualified.
• Some job activities also require lifting 35 lbs. of weight without assistance

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• A high school diploma or equivalent and three years of relevant experience
• Five years or more experience in the electrical and/or mechanical trades
• Experience with operation of mechanical and/or electrical equipment
• Experience with MS Office products such as: Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook.
• Ability to become a certified diver

DESIRED REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience with various training operations
• Experience with working in a team and/or independent environment
• Experienced in operation of pulsed power accelerators
• Capable of multi-tasking and taking direction from members of technical staff
• Demonstrated ability to produce technical documentation
• Active DOE Q Security Clearance

Position is onsite – Albuquerque, NM
