Under general direction of the Deputy Operations Manager, the Eligibility Determination Manager will direct eligibility operations for a large-scale CHIP eligibility services and enrollment broker contract. As the Eligibility Determination Manager, you will oversee a team that is responsible for accuracy, timeliness, and quality of eligibility determination.

Responsibilities

• Directing daily operations for Eligibility Services Unit including application processing, eligibility determination, status change and renewal processing, and disenrollment functions.
• Overseeing and monitoring performance of day-to-day eligibility service functions to ensure all eligibility-related contract requirements and performance standards are met.
• Overseeing development of operational work plans that support successful start-up and efficient on-going operations.
• Evaluating employee performance according to HR policies and procedures; ensuring employee personnel files are updated with all performance assessment information; assembling required documentation to recommend employee termination as appropriate.
• Hiring and terminating employees.
• Ensuring service level agreement compliance.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• Able to work overtime, evening, and some weekend hours.
• Have four years of management experience in eligibility operations in a production environment, data entry, and/or other business process outsourcing services.
• Possess knowledge and operational experience in Medicaid, CHIP and/or healthcare operations.
• Display general knowledge of public health, managed care, human services systems, and local and statewide political systems preferred.
• Master's degree desired.
