The position of the Eligibility Tech Support Specialist will include the following:

• Prepare documents for processing to include accepting verifications, scan verifications and utilize naming coventions, manage workflow within the assigned cue and utilize eligibility determination systems.
• Assessment of client needs and provide referrals for other services
• Provide customer service in a professional and timely manner, respond to questions regarding services provided by the agency, explain policy and procedure, assist with out-of-state medical travel needs
• Develop and prioritize work practices to meet deadlines for all programs, assist and document multi steps in complex timeframes
• Comply with Ward County Human Service Zone expectations and local policies.

The Ward County Human Service Zone Director reserves the right to amend the functions assigned this position either temporarily or permanently at any time as they determine to be in the best interest of their department. Further, employees may be assigned other or additional functions to fill in during the absence of other employees or vacancies in other positions.

Mimimum qualifications for an Eligibility Worker Technician requires a high school diploma or GED PLUS one of the following:

• Three years of experience in the clerical, accounting, financial, legal or teaching fields.
• Three years of a Bachelors Degree program (90 semester hours or 135 quarter hours)
• Three years combined education and experience as listed above or
• Completion of the Eligibility Worker Certiicate Program offered at Bismarck State College.
