Residential Mentor, Dragonfly Transitions (Embark at Dragonfly "Homestead" Campus, Shift: S aturday and Sunday 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM)
The Embark at Dragonfly campus is located on a thirty-acre ranch located just outside Klamath Falls. When students need a softer transition to Dragonfly, Embark at Dragonfly can be an option for up to six people. While enjoying a smaller community, students at our young adult transitions program can immerse themselves in the gardening schedule, work on maintenance projects, cook, attend group therapy, and develop relationships with their peers and the Dragonfly team. Our students have the opportunity to work at our farm where we grow fruit and vegetables and raise animals. Responsibilities:

- Our program serves the southern Oregon area. Students live in a family style residence where community and interpersonal relationships are encouraged.

As a Mentor, you will be supported by a Program Director, Academic and Vocational Coordinator, Administrative Team, and Residential Staff focused on the mission to facilitate lasting positive change for young people and their families.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Meet individually with primary students to establish rapport and provide individual support.
- Review weekly schedule, treatment plan, and daily progress.
- Work in conjunction with the student to create a weekly schedule and structure.
- Document individual sessions and any behavioral issues or incidents. Documentation should occur on a minimum of once per week for each primary student.
- Work with the therapist and clinical director to provide the day-to-day treatment continuity.
- Participate and direct daily program components including supervising daily living tasks, assisting with treatment activities, and scheduling weekend and evening activities. Provide supervision, leadership and role modeling for students.
- Attend weekly treatment team meetings. Serve as an advocate for your primary students.
- Teach one group in an area of your interest (nutrition, leisure skills, budgeting, etc.) per term.
- Maintain confidentiality of student records, following HIPAA and organizational guidelines.
- Oversee logistics while holding the "big picture" of the program.
- Undertake physical aspects of program, including: hiking, backpacking, building shelters, cooking, etc., while on overnight trips and/or weekend activities.
- Ensure safety by supervising students and working with other staff while being accountable for Dragonfly's policies and procedures.
- Facilitate planning sessions with the staff team and mentor team as needed.
- Take primary responsibility for ensuring high quality of the student's experiences.
- Drive up to a 12-passanger van with trailer.
- Represent Dragonfly to students, parents, educational consultants, and the public at large.
- Collaborate as needed with leadership team around itineraries, participant screening, staffing decisions, logistics, and significant program-related business (i.e. early departures, medical opinions, etc.).
- And other duties as assigned.
What do you bring to this position?
- Minimum two years' experience working with young adults (Or closely related experience)
- CPR/First Aid Certificate
- Oregon Food Handler's Card
- Valid Driver's License and 3 years driving experience with clean driving record.
- A desire to facilitate student growth through a team approach, working with other care providers.
- Preferred-Understanding of the DSM-V disorders .
- Invite tools and resources in-house and the community that support student goals and skills.
- Ability to pass a state background check.
