SAFETY OFFICER/EMT

Our Safety Officers/EMT’s perform a variety of duties relating to the safety, security, and welfare of Hillcrest and its residents. Performs daily door monitoring checks and conducts scheduled internal and external rounds. responsible for responding immediately to all emergency situations in the community. Performs minor maintenance and housekeeping duties. Qualifications include current First Aid, CPR, and EMT certification, At least one year of EMT experience. Criminal background screening (fingerprinting through the Department of Justice and FBI) completed and free of criminal convictions. Frequent standing, stooping, bending, stretching, and squatting. Must be able to transport residents via wheelchair, pushing up to approximately 200 lbs. Able to occasionally lift, carry and balance up to 125 lbs. (250 lbs. with assistance). Occasionally push and/or pull wheeled carts and equipment weighing up to 200 lbs. May be exposed to communicable diseases including HIV and Hepatitis B viruses; industrial and household chemicals; offensive odors; and combative behavior.

Since 1947 we have been providing retirement opportunities to older adults that include residential, assisted living, skilled nursing, and dementia care to approximately 400 residents.
