We are looking for an Employee Communications Manager to join our growing communications team. This is an opportunity to be a part of a company that understands the essential role that employee engagement initiatives and messaging play in our teams’ abilities to perform at their best and deliver excellence to our customers.

Reporting to the Director of Communications and working closely with People Operations team and the company’s chief of staff, this position is responsible for developing and executing initiatives that advance Deployed Services’ company culture and workplace experience.

Essential Functions:

  • Oversee the daily workflow of internal communications initiatives
  • Develop a comprehensive, multi-year employee communications strategy that supports internal engagement and recruiting objectives that reflect our brand and culture
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Deployed Services leadership, people operations, and training teams to successfully execute this communications strategy
  • Identify key communications opportunities and create a regular cadence of engagement with the Deployed Services employees through events, initiatives, and digital media
  • Drive and maintain internal communication systems that continuously embed the culture and values of Deployed Services
  • Create and distribute internal and executive communications, including presentations, talking points, articles, and written messages
  • Continuously measure the performance of employee communications efforts, adjusting to optimize as necessary
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Knowledge and Skills:

  • Passion for crafting diverse employee communications and appreciation for shaping overall employee experience
  • Track record of success in developing, prioritizing, managing, and executing multiple communications projects with a sense of urgency
  • Excellent writing, editing, and presentation skills, combined with speed, flexibility, and keen attention to detail
  • Ability to switch seamlessly between high-level strategy to detailed execution
  • Key attributes: Strong listener, creative, collaborative, diplomatic, flexible, and a good sense of humor


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field, preferred
  • Note: Relevant professional-level work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
  • 2-4 years of relevant communications experience
  • History of success in developing and executing communications strategies that successfully convey the spirit of an organization
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must be able to travel within the Continental United States (CONUS).
  • Must pass a drug test, motor vehicle record check, a background check, and provide proof of being fully vaccinated for Covid-19 after accepting a conditional offer of employment.
