Excellent Endocrinology/Diabetes Management Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant Opportunity in Norwalk, Connecticut (One hour from NYC)

Nuvance Health Medical Practice is seeking an Advanced Practitioner (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) as the fifth clinician to join our collegial and growing specialty Endocrinology/Diabetes team located in the Norwalk, Connecticut area. Diabetes management will be a large focus of the position; experience with advanced diabetes technology and gestational diabetes is preferred. The practice has excellent support staff and access to diabetes educators and nutrition counseling. We offer a highly competitive compensation package, including allowances for CMEs and Dues expenses and the opportunity for professional growth in a diverse and thriving clinical office environment. Full-time and part-time scheduling options will be considered.

The ideal candidate will be a board certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with previous experience in Endocrinology/Diabetes Management. Candidates with internal/family medicine and/ or primary care backgrounds are welcome to apply. Position is outpatient based with a Monday-Friday office schedule. No weekends or call. Connecticut APRN or PA license, Controlled Substance Registration, and Federal DEA required.

The position is employed by Nuvance Health Medical Practice and affiliated with Norwalk Hospital. Norwalk Hospital has 366 beds and is also a Level II Trauma Center with approximately 50,000 ED visits per year. As a teaching hospital, we are associated with the University of Vermont College of Medicine, Ross University, American University of the Caribbean, and the Yale School of Medicine. Our Medical Group includes 1000+ employed physicians and advanced practice providers, serving a geographically broad region throughout Western Connecticut and eastern New York.

Norwalk Hospital is ideally situated in suburban Fairfield County, Connecticut, along the Long Island Sound. The city of Norwalk is rich in cultural diversity and offers many venues for 4 season outdoor and indoor recreation. There are excellent public and private schools and universities in our area.
