Position Summary
Scope of Job
This position is responsible for proposal development for the company's offering including equipment, Controls and services. More specifically, Proposal Specialist is responsible for managing and creating appropriate scope of work/proposals, collaborating with relevant functions, obtaining the required approvals to issue the customer proposal, and ensuring it meets customer expectations and is submitted according to company guidelines.
Primary Job Functions
Proposal Specialist Proposal Specialist is responsible for managing and creating appropriate scope of work/proposals, collaborating with relevant functions, obtaining the required approvals to issue the customer proposal, and ensuring it meets customer expectations and is submitted according to company guidelines. · Prepare technical and commercial submissions of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) · Preparing the long-term services offer including the maintenance, repair, spare parts, performance guarantees, and warranties. · Understanding the terms MTBF, MTTR, Reliability, Availability and transforming the impact of these into product and services risk allocation · Write the proposal in a consistent style and tone including reformatting the inputs from others. · Solicit quotes from the vendors and coordinate with them for their best and winning offer to the company. · Track cost and price for the projects in company database · Able to understand and use the design and costing models. · Cost estimation of the proposed solution and setting customer price · Incorporate lessons learned in the proposals issued to the customer. · Manage and lead proposal reviews and obtain approvals to issue the proposal to customer. · Coordinate pre-sales and post sales customer communication with Sales and other functions. Other ² Performs other miscellaneous quality related duties as requested. ² Seeks constant improvement, more efficient and less expensive ways and means in work processes. ² Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations. ² Performs special projects and other miscellaneous duties as assigned by senior management. ² Maintains high ethical standards in the workplace. ² Reports all irregular issues and problems to supervisors for solution. ² Maintains good communication with other management, office staff members and outside contacts. ² Complies with all company policies and procedures. ² Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working area.

- Strong analytical and data management expertise
- Good verbal and written communication skills, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of electrical standards and specifications
- Knowledge of industry terms
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Proficient with Microsoft Smartsheet and database
- Strong customer service attitude
- Able to travel as needed.
Qualifications (Education & Work Experience)
- Bachelor's degree in electrical or electronics engineering from a four-year college or university
- Two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must speak fluent English.
Tools & Equipment
- General office equipment including smart phones, and personal computer.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
- Work is performed in an office environment.
- When working at a customer project site or supplier facility, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn for safety purposes.
- Limited travel required.
