Requirements

Responsbilities:

  • Visit sites and conduct performance reviews with operations management to improve staff performance, identify resource needs, and achieve operating plan goals.
  • Drive weekly business unit reviews to identify corrective actions for improving operational performance.
  • Lead cross-functional projects supporting key focus areas and follow established company process improvement methodologies and standards; ensure implementation of workshop results.
  • Manage and monitor projects at a program level, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
  • Possess advanced knowledge of program and project management principles, practices, and tools.
  • Coach and mentor process improvement staff and provide training.
  • Possess advanced knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma tools and have a formal certification at an advanced level.
  • Have expert knowledge of practical problem-solving techniques, such as A3, 8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa diagrams, and Pareto analysis to determine the origin of a failure, its impact on the overall business, and determine containment and countermeasure actions to eliminate nonconformances.
  • Conduct Lean/Six Sigma training and mentor individuals towards Yellow, Green, and Black Belt certifications.
  • Work collaboratively with project teams, sponsors, and process improvement staff to support the successful completion of projects.
  • Identify and communicate any unresolved problems or possible timeline issues, along with recommended actions for correction.
  • Advocate continuous improvement of products and processes by soliciting new process improvement opportunities.
  • Define and maintain operational process flow content, procedures, and documentation.
  • Define and implement strategies to measure operational performance and productivity, including the use of tools and metric definition.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident per ITAR guidelines.
  • This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship or for foreign persons under ITAR.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (such as Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing or Aerospace Engineering).
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent and 14-18 years of related experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Must be dedicated, motivated, possess good communication skills, strong process management capabilities, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in planning and manufacturing execution systems within aerospace fields is preferred.
  • Preferred experience in CAD based systems, especially CATIA V5.
  • Preferred experience in Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and/or Process Improvement.
  • Has knowledge of relevant technology and can work independently on routine tasks.
  • Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift

  • Milledgeville, GA: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
