Engineer, Forensic Analyst

Experience:
- Background in Engineering, with exposure to Highway-Traffic-Automotive
- Construction, Highway and Structural Design a plus
- Good overall computer skills.
- Ability to work efficiently with little or no supervision.
- Must be able to work on multiple matters that are at different levels of completion.
- Must like working with people in a collegial and professional environment.
- Experience with 3D Laser Scanners a plus
- Excellent problem solving (sequential thinking and deductive reasoning) skills.
- Extremely well organized with the ability to deliver accurate information within established agreed upon time schedules.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Investigations will require visiting sites to obtain detailed measurements recorded in concise and succinct notes and to take photographs documenting observations.
- Single day and occasional overnight travel to assignments in region.
- Write and submit detailed and accurate reports on projects within specific and required time periods in accordance with firm guidelines.
- Communicate with Clients to provide timelines and project updates on a consistent basis.
- Provide expert testimony for litigation matters on an as needed basis.
- Responsible for expert forensic analysis and evaluation of roadway/highway design, construction and maintenance and roadways, site grading and drainage, and vehicle/ pedestrian/bicycle accidents. Safety evaluations include construction work zone set-up, determining vehicle operator available sight distance and evaluating traffic signal timing sequence. In addition, walking safety for premises and exterior environments.
- Evaluations for compliance with codes and standards include ICC/IBC, OSHA, ANSI,
- ASTM, State and Federal Department of Transportation Codes, Regulations and Policies, a plus.
- Occasional after hours participating in marketing activities. Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to ascend/descend ladders, stairs, ramps, etc.
- Must be able to walk, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Education:
- Bachelor of Science or higher in Engineering from an accredited college or University
- Professional Engineering Registration/License Preferred - NOT required

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
