POSITION SUMMARY

Complete minor hotel repairs and perform preventative maintenance throughout the facility to ensure guest, visitors and other employees a safe, clean and pleasant environment where quality standards are achieved and maintained.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY and DUTIES

• Performs general repairs to in-house plumbing, electrical, HVAC, laundry and kitchen equipment

• Respond to guest questions, complaints, and/or requests as a priority

• Maintain highest level of guest security and confidentiality

• Ensure good grooming and good personal presentation

• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Management

• Performs job duties at all hotel locations

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience in areas of building engineering and building maintenance, including electrical, plumbing, air conditioning and heating

• Organizational skills and attention to detail, and ability to multi-task.

• Good grooming and good personal presentation

• Ability to communicate in, as well as read and write in English

  
  

Education: High School and/or comparable work experience. Two year Technical College desirable.

Work Environment: The duties for this position are carried out both indoors (60%) and outdoors (40%) and may be subject to adverse weather conditions and extreme changes in temperature. Employee will be exposed to contact with chemical compounds such as mixtures, paints and pool chemicals.

Physical Activities: To perform essential functions of this position, the individual must be available to see, speak and hear. An individual must be able to stand walk for long periods of time with frequent stooping and reaching required. An individual should also be able to lift up to 75 pounds and may frequently lift and carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds.
