General Responsibilities:
Transport material samples with associated identifying documentation to the laboratory for further testing and analysis. Communicate with project manager, engineering technicians, client representative, contractor’s representative and/or others as applicable regarding the construction site, project requirements, locations, and onsite access. Tabulate, prepare, and submit data and observations in the form of written and digital reports daily transmittal to the Terracon Project Manager. Maintain and clean equipment, vehicles, and work areas. Adhere to strict safety and driving standards.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
- Receive dispatches with information regarding project, location, and sample information
- Travel to site locations with company vehicle to retrieve samples (primarily concrete samples)
- Communicate with coworkers, contractors and/or clients to locate samples
- Complete data entry though app and computer devices
- Organize and properly label samples
- Provides clear documentation of findings and results.
- Maintains assigned equipment.
- Follow safety rules and practices and other safety requirements for all projects.
- Perform pre-task planning prior to executing work.
- Report any safety issues or concerns to management.
- Be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history
- Consistent attendance and flexibility of schedule
- Will involve Saturday work
- Familiarity with ASTM and AASHTO test standards
- Ability to lift samples weighting up to 50-pounds
- Familiarity with the Portland Metro area and surrounding cities
- Problem solving capabilities
