What does a Enterprise Architecture do at Fiserv?

In this critical role you are responsible for understanding Fiserv’s data platform strategy/architecture and the data to support that strategy. Working closely with our business and supporting systems representatives to analyze, document major data and information assets used by LOBs. You will be responsible for influencing projects/initiatives and making decisions related to data including data quality, architecture, and management. Acting as an internal consultant to the business you will provide directional guidance for data projects on utilizing the right system of record for data sourcing and information access. Data modelling, monitoring standard technologies, tools and methodologies and creating and maintaining business, data, application, and technology road maps. And perform key data analytics projects.

What you will do:

• Mapping of relational entities to use cases or business requirements and assisting in the development of data services.
• Create and manage an array of data design deliverables including data models, data diagrams, data flows and corresponding data dictionary documentation.
• Experience in the day-to-day practicalities of Agile software Product Development Lifecycles such as Scrum, Lean Agile, Kanban, etc.
• Ability to make architectural decisions that enable scalability of data platforms.

What you will need to have:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering (or similar) with 10+ years of relevant experience is required.
• 8+ years’ in designing, developing, and maintaining Data warehouses and applications.
• 8+ years’ with ETL process using oracle pl/sql packages, procedures, shell scripts/ perl/ python.
• Proven ability to analyze and solve problems with attention to details.
• High School Diploma required.
• Required to work flexible schedule including overnight shifts and weekends.

What would be great to have:

• Experience in the financial services industry, technologies such as Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, and Spark, and Linux.
• Experience in Data science and Machine Learning using python.
• Master’s or PhD.
• Familiarity with content version control, code reviews, and agile development methodology.
