Osborne Recruitment are delighted to be working with a leading food manufacturer in Co. Kildare, who are looking to make the addition of an Environmental Officer.

The Environmental Officer will ensure compliance with all Environmental aspects across the site. Contribute towards the various continuous Improvement programmes in place and collaborate across multiple departments to drive the Environmental Agenda in line with the KPI’s, ISO 14,001 requirements and IE Licence requirements.

You will have:

· A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience working in environmental compliance on an IE Licenced site

· A relevant 3rd level degree in Environmental Science / Engineering or similar, with a strong knowledge of Environmental legislation & regulations

· Strong numerical skills with excellent written and verbal communication

· Excellent problem-solving and logical thinking, and be organised with attention to detail

· Strong teamwork, influencing skills and be assertive when necessary

This fantastic opportunity is based fully on site in Naas and requires a full driving licence and access to your own vehicle.

You will be:

· Maintaining the environmental management system and support the environmental KPI programme, collecting, interpretating and presenting key data

· Acting as the secondary regulatory contact point with the EPA and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards associated with Industrial Emissions Licence, ISO 14001, Environmental Legislation, all site standards, policies, and procedures

· Liaise with third party contractors to ensure environmental compliance monitoring and lab testing is carried out as required and as per annual schedules

· Supporting the Environmental Manager to compile relevant related sections of the PRTR and AER, and ensuring compliance with Integrity Testing Processes on site

· Planning, organising and delivering Environmental Training to employees on site and carrying out noise monitoring and odour assessments (night-time monitoring on occasion)

· Documenting, investigating and resolving complaints and participating in root cause investigations of environmental incidents on site and employment of critical thinking to focus on associated corrective actions

· Managing and/or participating in relevant site projects ensuring that environmental aspects receive appropriate consideration and evaluation as part of plant/process changes and/or other site projects

· Providing guidance on Waste Management: work in conjunction with Waste Management contractors to ensure waste generated on site is managed in compliance with all relevant IE license, Irish and EU legislative requirements. Conduct off-site audits of Waste Facilities if necessary

A competitive salary is on offer, depending on experience, not including, pension and healthcare.
