Summary
This job requires working between our Sales and Service Departments. The expectation is to provide consistent, high-quality preparation of equipment inventory which is available for sale at our dealership. This position functions as a team with other energetic members of Attendants in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
Essential Duties
Equipment Interior
- Remove and dispose of all personal property belonging to the prior owner.
- Vacuum, clean interior surfaces such as seats, headrests, armrests, doors, door pockets, trunks, cargo area, ceilings, floor mats, dashboards, steering column, and storage areas.
- Clean Windows
- Blow out cabin vents and seat tracks.
Equipment Exterior
- Document and report damages discovered.
- Wash Exterior
- Wash engine bay
- Minor paint touchups
- Remove unneeded equipment attached to the equipment
- Apply dealership identifiers.
Lot Responsibilities
- Assist in snow removal from vehicles after snowstorm.
- Nightly unit locking at closing time.
- Assist in inventory layout on sales lot.
- Fuel inventory as requested.
- Complete daily inspection of inventory for any new damages
- Clear lot of any debris found.
- Assists in inventory check-in procedure.
Other Duties
- Keep work area clean and free of hazards.
- Keep supplies organized and report cleaning product shortages.
- Wash, dry, fold, and put away cleaning towels.
- Perform basic maintenance on equipment used by this department.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license.
- The ability to operate construction & farm equipment a plus
- Organizational skills
- Ability to work with and act like a team.
- Communication skills – Ability to report findings with clear, concise details for items which need additional repairs or may enhance value.
- The ability to discern whether chemicals or liquids may be used on the surfaces being cleaned.
- The ability to distinguish the importance or sensitivity of items belonging to the prior owner before disposal.
Physical Demands:
- There is considerable activity which requires standing for extended periods of time with limited rest periods.
- The ability to lift at least 75 pounds.
- Must be able to have repetitive wrist/hand/finger movement.
- Must be able to lift items above shoulder height and bend at the waist and knees.
- This job requires the use of a wide variety of cleaning products and is exposed to frequent loud noises.
Work Schedule
This job requires that you report to work each workday during normal operating hours with an unpaid 60-minute lunch period.
- This department operates Monday through Saturday. Depending on your schedule, a day off during these days will be given.
- This department may require overtime depending on the needs of the dealership.
