Ritz Interiors is seeking an Experienced Estimator for our Interiors & Special Projects Team.

This job opportunity offers project diversity while participating in interesting, fast-paced projects in commercial construction.

We focus on projects based in and around Atlanta, GA, and the Southeast United States.

Work to be in office/in person, located in Metro Atlanta.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

​The Estimator works with a team to create work proposals for potential projects.

​Review architectural drawings and specifications to prepare proposals.

​Prepare estimates by calculating complete takeoffs for scope of work.

​Maintain files of working documents as back up for estimate figures, including current (accurate) information on prices from suppliers.

​Review design options and recommend the best solution based on cost, engineering quality, or availability of materials.

​Review proposal specifications, drawings, attend pre-bid meetings, etc. to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.

​Interact with project managers, owner, A/E, and other contractors to provide complete scope of work takeoffs and pricing.

​Negotiate final contracts with customers.

​Understand details of project scope of work and communicate to team members.

​Create and maintain project cost reports

​Document and negotiate changes that may affect project completion or contract costs with contractors

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Interest in the Estimating & Pre-Construction aspects of Commercial Construction.
• 3+ years estimating construction projects.
• Bachelor’s degree related to the construction industry, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or another industry related degree. Experience in estimating, project management, and/or engineering experience in construction environment. Knowledge of estimating techniques, interpreting architectural drawings, and utilizing computer software for takeoffs.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate to all levels of field personnel, employees, management, contractors, suppliers, architects, engineers, and owners.
