Long-established Cavan-based logistics company now seek to hire an experienced European Transport Planner to work a flexible shift pattern (includes some weekends). The role will support the existing traffic team, working to ensure the best service for customers while ensuring compliance for drivers, in regard to health and safety and driver legislation.

Core Duties:

• Assist in planning workload effectively and communicating work to drivers in an accurate and timely manner
• Assisting in the management of delivery times and route planning throughout Ireland, UK, and Europe
• Manage workload through our in-house system Stratum
• Assist with scheduling of transporters for service/maintenance checks
• Any other ad hoc duties as required from time to time by Management

Essential Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role
• Computer literate and experience working with various IT systems
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A team player with a flexible and adaptable approach to work with a positive attitude
• Reliable and have ability to work as part of a busy
• Fluent English is essential
• Ability to work full-time permanent, unrestricted and without sponsorship

Terms:
Full Time, Permanent, Site-based, working an alternate shift pattern 07:00 to 16:00 Hrs and 14:00 to 22:00 Hrs (Monday to Saturday) and on-call weekend cover on a rotating basis.
