The Events Coordinator position is a full- time year round position at Pine Mountain Resort that is eligible for corporate benefits (Health, Dental, Vision, 401k, and more!)

What you will have an opportunity to do:

The Events Coordinator must want to be at the heart of the banquet and meeting experience and have a passion for the events, service, and the warmth of genuine hospitality. They are the liaison between our sales/marketing and food and beverage departments and our customers to ensure everything goes without a hitch.

Essential Functions:

  • You will use your creativity to designs concepts for theme parties, procure and purchase necessary props.
  • You will be the master of all events, working closely with the clients to ensure all needs are met.
  • You will ensure the team understands the needs of the clients clearly to service personnel and manager.
  • Set up for functions to include draping tables, setting silverware, folding napkins, preparing drinks and put out table centerpieces.
  • Oversee the completion equipment checklist prior to the day of the event.
  • Performs food & beverage preparation duties such as preparing condiments, brewing coffee, and ensuring workstations are stocked.
  • Ensures final quality check on food and beverage items prior to serving guests.
  • Ensure the maintenance of and proper care and cleanliness of serving equipment.
  • Oversee pre-meeting, assigning stations and duties to servers.
  • Ensure servers take appropriate breaks during events.
  • Ensure adherence to all service standards and procedures.
  • Adhere to and reinforce all appearance and service standards and procedures.
  • Know and follow county and state ordinances. E.g. Noise, light, etc…

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous leadership experience, banquet leadership experience preferred.
  • Previous event coordination experience preferred.
  • Certification in alcohol awareness program, i.e. TIPS preferred.
  • Thorough, detail oriented, organized, and pro-active.
  • Independent thinker and doer.
  • Strong sense of style and taste.
  • Strong, intuitive ability to deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Team player.
  • Working knowledge of local, state and federal liquor regulations.
