Job description
The Event Manager will manage the trade shows, events and conferences in which Inmar participates. This person should demonstrate and maintain strong proficiency with core event planning and management competencies, including exceptional communication and organizational skills, strategic planning process, multi-tasking abilities, cross-team collaboration, and be innovative, forward thinking.
Primary Accountabilities:

Work closely with Marketing and Sales teams to develop and manage a variety of trade shows, events, and conferences (“events”) in which Inmar participates
-
Work with Marketing Managers annually to define and develop event budgets
-
Facilitate all strategic, logistical and operational planning and management of events (including overall plans, detailed tasks lists, pre/post meetings, budget tracking, shipping, printing, etc.)
-
Develop and effectively implement event plans, detailed task lists, budgets/expense tracking
-
Manage equipment and inventory needed for events
-
Collaborate with Marketing and Sales teams to establish specific, trackable ROI measurements for events

Develop measurable goals and criteria for event success; track and report on results

Analyze event, industry and competitive data; utilize meaningful and relevant data to improve effectiveness and efficiency of Inmar’s participation

Manage relationships with industry associations and trade event vendors; direct workflow as needed

Manage negotiation of terms and contracts with associations, facilities, vendors, etc. to maximize efficiencies and assure compliance with budget and company policies and procedures; administer processing of vendor invoices

Use best practices and creativity to ensure that event content is engaging and innovative

Update leadership on an ongoing basis with plans, information, roadblocks, successes, etc.
Required Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s Degree in hospitality/tourism, marketing, business or related discipline

2-4 years’ experience working event planning/execution; or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to complete the major responsibilities/essential functions of the position

Proficiency working with the following software programs:

Google Suite

Microsoft PowerPoint

Microsoft Excel

Outstanding verbal and written communication skills

Proven negotiation and project management skills

Strong budgeting experience

Proven skills interacting with executive/senior management teams

Ability to manage multiple projects/events at one time, each with multiple components
