Responsible for cleanliness, upkeep and maintenance of all buildings and grounds. Manages and oversees the operations of the department and staff on a daily basis. Accomplishes assigned tasks through proper training, motivation and supervision of all EVS staff. Fosters teamwork and acts as a role model using a consistent, approachable demeanor and clearly articulating expectations. Has responsibility and accountability for employee relations and goals/actions of the department. Conducts interviews and selects the best candidates for open positions. Responsible for setting work schedules, including training of new hires on policy and procedures. Provides superior customer service to all guests, both external and internal. Responsible for setting and maintaining the budget for EVS. Delivers budgeted financial results while executing the property’s highest standards of operation. Maintains emergency procedures and equipment. Monitors equipment, utilities, consumption and performance of employees. Develops and implement energy conservation and awareness programs and ensure compliance with all safety standards. Oversees purchasing and inventory procedures. Writes reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Effectively presents information and respond to questions from groups, managers, clients, customers and the general public. Completes other duties as assigned. Presents oneself as a credit to Caesars Entertainment Company and encourages others to do the same.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Provides direction and development of support staff and team members, resulting in strong self-managed teams.
- Interviews, hires, and ensures proper training of new team members.
- Ensures property cleanliness in the casino, hotel, and restroom areas.
- Ensures maintenance standards are consistently maintained and enhanced.
- Delegates and holds team members accountable for success.
- Creates a safe, healthy, productive, and fun work environment, where team members willingly strive to do their best.
- Understands the budget process and inventory supply and control.
- Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- College degree preferred.
- 5 years cleaning experience.
- 2 years supervisory experience.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Strong project management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft software.
- Must have successfully completed Manager LAP
