Responsibilities
JOB SUMMARY
- Evaluates cardiac patients, plans and implements a cardiac rehabilitation program. Demonstrates competencies in the care and service to our customers.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- ESSENTIAL
- Administers appropriate treatments to patients; knowledge and skills in EKG interpretation, blood pressure, heart rate, pulse oximetry, fitness equipment.
- Fosters communication with other EPs, nurses, doctors, patients and family, and other hospital personnel to establish department rapport; attends and provides quality input to team meetings and applicable hospital meetings.
- Provides instruction and supervision to student interns and volunteers in a respectful and courteous manner; assists in performance appraisals of current/new personnel and students.
- Maintains timely and accurate medical records; records legibly in patient charts; completes reports in a timely and thorough manner.
- Attends department and hospital inservices; assists in department CQI processes; attends annual conferences annually if applicable.
- Performs other duties as assigned to meet the organization`s needs.

- Required: Completion of BS degree in Exercise Physiology
- Preferred: N/A
- Experience
- Required: 12 week Internship
- Licensure/Certifications
- Required: American Heart Association CPR
- Preferred: ACLS certification or complete within 12 months of employment
