Job description
Responsibilities:
- Receives and processes incoming material.
- Responsible for performing the physical or administrative tasks supporting the shipping, receiving, storing, tracking inventory, and distribution of materials, parts, supplies and equipment, rejecting unsatisfactory items where necessary.
- Lifts heavy items and may operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, etc. upon receipt of internal certification.
- Within parameters, determines packaging, routing, and arrangements for shipments, considering such factors as nature of items being shipped, method of handling, size, urgency, and cost.
- Responsible for placing materials in appropriate stockroom locations.
- Fills shortages to Manufacturing including Test, Mechanical Assembly, and Electrical Assembly.
- Pulls kits according to work orders received from the Production Planning Department and distributes accordingly.
- Issues miscellaneous material requirements to the Manufacturing, Test and Engineering departments.
- Coordinates with Production Planning and warehouse personnel to ensure the correct routing, scheduling, and storing of goods.
- Performs project closures, processing of cycle counts, 'loan of part' requests, and fulfills special requests from Planning Dept.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent with 0 to 3 years of prior related experience.
- Knowledge of weight scales, hydraulic lift, and pallet jack.
- Knowledge of MS Office and basic math skills are required.
- Knowledge of ESD handling is preferred.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
